Acceptance
By using docu4all you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.
What the service is
docu4all provides free browser-based tools for editing, signing, merging, splitting and compressing PDF files, and for cropping, resizing and converting images. All processing takes place in your own browser. We do not receive, host or store your files.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the files you process and for having the right to process them. You agree not to use docu4all to create, alter or distribute any document for a fraudulent or unlawful purpose, including forging identity documents, falsifying records, or altering contracts or financial statements in order to deceive.
You are responsible for keeping your own backups. Because we never hold a copy of your files, we cannot recover anything for you.
Electronic signatures
The signature tool produces a visible image of a signature placed on a document. It does not create a cryptographic digital signature or a certificate-based identity assurance. Whether a signature produced this way is legally sufficient depends on your jurisdiction and the type of document. Some transactions require notarisation, a qualified certificate or a handwritten signature. You are responsible for confirming what your situation requires. Nothing on this site is legal advice.
No warranty
docu4all is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the tools will be uninterrupted, error free, or that every file will be processed exactly as you expect. Results may vary with the file, the browser and the device.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or business, arising from your use of or inability to use docu4all. Since the service is provided free of charge and processes files only on your own device, our total liability in any circumstance is limited to zero.
Advertising
The site is supported by advertising. Advertisements are supplied by third parties, and their presence does not constitute an endorsement by us of any advertised product or service.
Intellectual property
The docu4all name, design and site content are ours. Your files and their contents remain entirely yours; we acquire no rights over them, and given that they never reach us, no such rights could arise.
Changes and availability
We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the service at any time, and may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last revised.
